The battles that count aren't the ones for gold medals. The struggles within yourself — the invisible, inevitable battles inside all of us — that's where it's at.

This special group has numerous hits including "Only You," "The Great Pretender," "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes," "My Prayer," "Harbor Lights," "Unchained Melody" and more.  This successful vocal group of the Rock & Roll era was the first to have a Top Ten Album in America and have been inducted in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.  Mr. Herb Reed has managed, performed, and toured as The Platters or Herb Reed and The Platters continuously since 1953.  His voice is heard on every one of the nearly 400 recordings of The Platters!  Don't miss this once in a lifetime chance to see them here in St. Mary's County.

This is a fundraising event for the Southern Maryland Mission of Mercy (MOM) which is a huge endeavor to provide free dental services for the underserved or uninsured adults, people who have lost their jobs and especially our Veterans.  Dentists from across the state, hygienists, dental assistants, health professionals and approximately 250 lay volunteers will work with community groups at Chopticon High School to serve 800 to 1000 people from the Tri-County Area on this two day event in June 1012.  If you can help, we need you.
